EPA & Compliance Testing for Oil, Marine & Manufacturing Equipment

Now offered through our new division: Seaport Emissions Analytics

Onshore & Offshore Coverage

Our technicians are H₂S tested, SCAQMD certified, and swing rope qualified, equipped to perform emissions testing in both industrial and marine environments. We provide:

• Quarterly analytics to support EPA compliance
• Performance monitoring to detect efficiency trends over time
• Detailed reports for each piece of equipment evaluated

Whether you’re managing a crane on a port or a turbine in a refinery, we come to you — onshore or offshore — with full-service diagnostics and reporting.

Visual Emissions Evaluations (VEE)

Opacity Testing Using Method 9, Method 22, and Ringelmann Method
We provide certified evaluations for visible emissions:

  • Method 9: Quantifies visible emissions using trained observers.
  • Method 22: Detects the presence of visible emissions.
  • Ringelmann Method: Uses visual charts to determine smoke density levels.
These tests are required by EPA standards and help facilities ensure ongoing compliance.

Diesel Opacity Testing – SAE J1667

We perform diesel opacity testing using the Testo 350:

  • Measures exhaust opacity in diesel engines to assess combustion quality.
  • Helps facilities meet air quality standards and identify emission-related failures early.
This test is essential for diesel-powered equipment in regulated industries like marine terminals, oil fields, and industrial plants.

Combustion & Emissions Analysis with Testo 350

A complete diagnostic service for exhaust gas and system performance on:

  • Cranes
  • Boilers
  • Turbines
  • Engines
  • Smokestacks

We analyze common pollutants including:

  • CO (Carbon Monoxide)
  • CO₂ (Carbon Dioxide)
  • NO (Nitric Oxide)
  • NO₂ (Nitrogen Dioxide)

This service includes:

  • Compliance Testing: Testo 350 is configured for EPA and regulatory pre-testing. The patented dilution system extends measurement range for accurate, high-output readings.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify unstable combustion or inefficient equipment operation before it leads to system failure or excessive emissions.
  • Remote Operation: The Testo 350 Control Unit enables remote control of the analyzer, ideal for cranes or hard-to-access sample ports.
